The MEN of the Fire circle has done many interesting activities:

• Play drums, didgeridoos, flutes, rattles, chimes and other musical instruments

• Smudge and purify each other with sacred sage

• Watch movies about Men, Hero’s, Power, Passion and Purpose

• Journey on guided visualizations to find our Animal Totem helpers

• Attend the sacred sweat lodge

• Fire Walks and Medicine Walks

• Discuss personality styles, leadership styles and women

• Attend lectures and social events

There is a small fee ($5-10) for this group that we give to the owner of the bookstore that allows us to host our events at. Occasionally, there will be a fee for supplies and extreme events.

The group meets at 6:45 pm every Tuesday at Spirit @ Work Books–Events and Beyond at 710 N. Orchard, Boise Idaho (cross street Emerald) … come join us.

Seven Sacred Circles This 7 month committed group meets 2 times a month as a closed group process. The group forms and is woven into this Earth-based Empowerment process that meets for sweat lodge, sacred teachings, wilderness experience and the quest to “Claim their Power”, “Find their Passions” and “Live their Purpose”. At the end of the 7 months, the group will prepare for their 4 day - Vision Quest in the desert.

During the group process, we will seek to understand and integrate the ‘GOD” powers of WIND (change), SUN (power), Action, Passion, Strength, Humor and Truth. We will also go through an initiation process for each individual’s Animal Medicine Helper – Totem and how they can strengthen their lives. We will work with some ancestor energy, the medicine wheel and the 7 stages of life. 

The Vision Quest at the end of the process will follow the 7 stages of initiation… Preparation ~ Acknowledgement ~ Separation ~ Self Discovery ~ Silence ~ Initiation and Integration. … to be followed by celebration of life!

We may experience:

• The darkness of caving to experience our “shadow side”,

• Make fire from our bare hands and some sticks to find our own determination,

• Rock Climb / Rappelling, to learn about trust,

• The Pipe ceremony to learn about ritual and connectedness

• Japanese Misogi water purification to cleanse,

• Sacred Sweat Lodge ceremonies to release and renew

• Fire-walks to understand how to raise our energy,

• Medicine-walks to connect with the Earth-spirits and a lot more.

This group is a committed and closed” group of men who are seeking a deeper connection with Great Spirit and their Higher Power through Earth-based teachings.  (This is NOT an adventure – fun – outdoorsy – hang out group)

The fee for this group is $100 per month for the process and $400 for the Vision Quest

Phoenix Rising workshop Imagine your vision of a mystical “Phoenix Rising” exploding out of the ashes and through the fire … or if you must, imagine a “Bat out of Hell” bursting out of the Earth … go where ever you want with this imagination because that is exactly what this workshop-adventure will do for you. The Phoenix Rising workshop-adventure will be held quarterly throughout the mountains and canyons of South West Idaho and all around the west. The event will have a limited amount of men. And this adventure will allow you to touch that part of you that is yearning to be “awakened”

• The adrenaline will PUMP through your veins and

• YOU will become ALIVE to your own PURPOSE

For Two full days and nights, Men will meet in a natural setting, away from the hustle – bustle of our modern world. We will engage in experiential activities, wilderness adventures, earth-based teachings (sweat lodge, animal totems, medicine wheel), adventure, risk, challenge and so much more. If we told you any more, we would be letting the “cat out of the bag” and this “cat” is too powerful to let out.

Know this … your experience during the Phoenix Rising workshop-adventure will be one of a kind. At the same time … you will get out of it, exactly what you put into it. As Bill Dempsey from Mind Dynamics and SAGE seminars put it “Ya gotta wanna”.

The Phoenix Rising workshop-adventure is an interactive exchange “For Men, By Men and Through Men”. It is an intensive weekend designed with the intention of “rockin’ your world … inside out and back again!

With a wide variant of educational exercises and adventure experiences, you will find your fire” and know what to do with it! There will be time for self-reflection and you will “get to” connect with men, learn new ways of being and build new personal relationships based upon authenticity and richness.

Fire Walks with Wytomi of the Elk Fire Council The Fire-walk is an ancient ritual where one faces their fears, walks through the fire and claims their power. To face their fear and to go beyond it with the intention of  transforming their Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual bodies. This purification ritual, burns away negative energy and allows the participant to come into the fullness of Who they truly are. Through the process, the participant will raise his energy body to match the energy of the Fire. This is a very intense process! Sweat Lodge A sweat lodge ceremony is a sacred purification rite for initiations and for times of cleansing and claiming power. The sweat lodge is constructed of willow, lava stone, hides or blankets, water, herb, song and prayer. The Native American sweat lodge opens up spiritual awareness for the participants. People fast while working on the lodge to help their intent remain focused, pure. Prayer is offered as willow or other saplings are cut, as holes are dug for the placement of saplings and as the pit for the hot rocks is excavated. Tobacco, a powerful herb now commonly misused, is often used for offerings--a visible "amen" to prayer.

Such lodges can be, and often are, a portal for communication with a Higher Power, the Creator; it is very necessary to exercise care and good intent in all things connected with a sweat lodge, its construction and its rites.

Traditional lodges have 4 rounds (cycles), where red hot stones are placed in the center and the trained sweat leader will pour water over the stones to create a very hot atmosphere in the lodge. Song, welcoming, release, prayer and gratitude are some of the traditional aspects used while inside of the sacred sweat lodge.

The heat, helps our conscious mind “go to sleep” so our “spiritual mind” can guide us to heightened awareness for the evolution of our soul and daily life. [ Flyer ]
