"I had the pleasure to lead a camping expedition with Katie for four days in Northern New South Wales, Australia, with a large group of 14 year olds. During this expedition Katie demonstrated many necessary qualities and skills to ensure that everyone had an enjoyable and safe time. Due to this, the kids were able to engage in many learning activities and work together as a group to overcome challenges. During the expedition, one of the kids fell ill. In a very professional and caring manor, Katie straight away implemented the necessary strategies to get the young boy quickly and safely back to the recreation center head quarters, where he was able to receive medical attention. I would thoroughly recommend Katie for any leadership role/position that she endeavors to undertake".

"Being in the middle of bush and fatigued by the day long challenges including harsh weather, what makes the camp enjoyable and memorable in such circumstances is 'a friendly and motivating instructor'. This is what i observed on the Leadership Camp with Interaction Experiential Learning in Australia where I was a visiting instructor and the group was lead by Katie. Her insight about using teachable moments for the development of participants was impressive. A genuine thought leader with keeping eye on the group dynamics, emerging situations and individuals' learning needs with a compassionate heart is what I found about her. I always had a wish to experience more outdoor programs with her although time didn't allow but I'm hopeful, may be in Canada or Pakistan someday.J"

Before camp I was scared and to be honest I didn't really want to go, but then I got there and got to know my camp instructor and after a few days I didn't want to leave. Katie made me feel safe throughout the whole time I was on camp. She loves what she does and it is shows when she is with us."
